Duration of Bachelor of Physiotherapy:
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) duration is 4 ½ years followed by 6 months internship.
Eligibility for BPT admission:
Candidates for admission to the BPT course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must have obtained not less than 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination. Regarding candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Category I, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology together in the qualifying examination are not less than 40% instead of 45% as above.
Is BPT Course good for girls students?
BPT (Physiotherapy) is one the most demanding course for girls students due to its working pattern and vast career options. It's very good for girls to join any orthopedic surgeon or doctor as a consultant or have their own clinic where they can go just 3–4 hr. In a day or 2–3 hr in the evening time. They can also open their own clinic and can earn a handsome salary. A physiotherapist plays an important role for pregnant lady patients. 1. Is BPT ( Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is Paramedical course?
BPT is not a Paramedical course. It is a professional medical course like BDS or MBBS. We can't consider a bachelor of physiotherapy as a technician course, it is a professional course.
2. Is BPT a Doctor?
Yes, Physiotherapists are doctors and they can use the prefix of Dr. before their name. We have BPT ( 4.5 years) + MPT ( 2 years) + Doctoral degree ( 3 years).
3. Is NEET is compulsory for Admission in BPT?
No, as of government rule NEET is compulsory for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses. NEET is not required for BPT. You can take direct admission in Bachelor of Physiotherapy based on your 12th marks. For more details contact @ 9113975816.
