NEET UG 2020 exams will be held on July 26 as scheduled. A fake advisory, circulated in the name of NTA, claimed that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2020 has been postponed to August.

 

New Delhi: NEET 2020 postponement notice, which has been circulating in social media, is fake, the National Testing Agency (NTA) clarified. Earlier in the day, the Central Government’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) had also issued a similar clarification. The fake advisory, circulated in the name of NTA, claimed that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2020 has been postponed to August. The exams will be held on July 26 as scheduled.

NTA, through an official notification, said: “It has come to the notice of the National Testing Agency (NTA) that a fake public notice dated June 15 with the subject line-postponement of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG July 2020- is being circulated through various sources and social media forums.”

 

NTA said: “ All candidates and parents are hereby informed that no such decision has been taken by NTA and concerned authorities till date.”

NTA had announced that NEET 2020 exams will be held on July 26 after postponing the exam from the initial date of May 3. The exam had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak which forced the Central Government to initiate a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of infections.

NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is held for undergraduate admissions to medical and allied courses across India. NEET is the only pan-India entrance examination that is being conducted for medical undergraduate admissions.

ASSAM STATE BOARD 12th RESULT ANNOUNCED

 

Assam 12th result

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or AHSEC, will declare HS or Class 12th result today, at 9 AM. AHSEC 2020 result will be available on the official websites of the board, ahsec.nic.in and resultsassam.nic.in. This year, AHSEC 12th result has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In past years, the board had declared Class 12 results in the month of May. More than two lakh students from Arts, Science, Commerce streams have been waiting for the Assam HS result 2020.

 

The Assam Board will announce the Class 12 result on the official website resultsassam.nic.in. Assam Higher Secondary results 2020 will also be available on partner websites like indiaresults.com and examresults.net. Candidates, however, are advised to cross check their results from an official source for authentication.Considering as many students will be checking their scores on the official website, chances are that the portal might run slow or become unresponsive.In such cases,via SMS and downloading the Android app suggested by the board.

This year, the Assam Board class 12 results will be declared online only. The provision of offline results from centers has been prohibited, to maintain social distancing, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Nearly 2.3 lakh students have taken the Assam? Board class 12th exam. Assam HSSLC exam was conducted from February 12 to March 14 at 772 exam centers spread across the state.

Pankaj Borthakur, Assam Higher Secondary Exam Controller, had recently informed Hindustan Times that the council will also send the result in PDF form to all higher secondary institutions in Assam. He also said that the hard copy of the mark sheet and certificate of all students will be sent to schools within one week after the declaration of results.

 

More than 2.3 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 board exams this year in Assam. Out of which, around 1.75 lakh took exams in the Arts stream, 40,500 in Science, and 18,000 in Commerce.
